How Much Do I Love the World Today?

Today has been the whirlwind day of passport getting. Here is the timeline so far.

4AM: alarm goes off, snooze
4:15AM: alarm goes off, snooze
4:28AM: Queen wakes up, ready to start the day
5AM: Queen wakes King up to prepare her breakfast
5:50AM: Queen swings by parents' house to pick up dad, who also has an early morning flight
6:35AM: Queen is sitting at gate D18, ready to board
7:25AM: Queen looks at watch, notes no one else boarding and thinks we might take off early
7:35AM: flight is supposed to be taking off, but instead we're sitting
7:45AM: plane is still sitting, pilot announces weather issues
7:55AM: flight takes off
8:40AM: flight is supposed to be landing, but instead we appear to be circling; Queen getting antsy about making it to passport office for 10AM appointment
9:15AM: Queen is getting into taxi to head to passport appointment, driver seems slow (mentally and speed-wise) and Queen worries about appointment
9:45AM: Queen arrives at passport office, gets in line
10:15AM: Queen exits passport office, needs to come back at 2:30pm to pick it up!
10:16AM: Queen ponders what to do until 2:30pm; Queen notices that she's in the middle of downtown Houston, turns her wedding ring so the diamond is facing her palm
10:18AM: Queen asks JennAnn to find her a Starbucks
10:19AM: Queen decides to pass the challenge on to Mrs. Pearl
10:20AM: Mrs. Pearl informs Queen that there is a Starbucks 0.1 miles up the street
10:22AM: Queen sees Starbucks, which has a Quizno's next door; Queen realizes that she's set for the day
10:25AM: Queen has latte and is booting up laptop
11:19AM: Queen had some network issues, but finally posts blog ;)

Let me just tell you how awesome Starbucks is. Even in the middle of the ghetto, Starbucks is a safe, secure, warm, friendly place to be! So far the only downers of the day have been due to American Airlines. First, they stress me out with flight delays. Then, I find out I can't even standby on the earlier flight. So, even though I'll be wrapped up here by 3pm or so, I won't be pulling into my driveway until about 9:30pm :(
